Why LOCA bonding?

LOCA replaces the air gap with a clear adhesive whose refractive index is closer to glass, reducing reflections inside the display.

More light, less reflection

Reduces internal reflection losses so more display light reaches the viewer.

Higher perceived contrast

Less reflected ambient light helps blacks look deeper and images appear clearer.

Better bright-light readability

Text and graphics are easier to read in bright surroundings.

Results depend on the optical stack, adhesive and cover-surface treatment.

01 / LOCA DISPENSING

A controlled start to the optical bond

Apply liquid optical adhesive to the bonding surface. The dispense pattern and volume are matched to the panel and bonding area.

02 / COVER GLASS / TOUCH LAMINATION

Align the layers.
Bring them together.

Align the cover glass and touch panel, then bring the surfaces together to spread the adhesive across the bonding interface.

03 / LEVELING / DEBUBBLING

An even layer, with fewer trapped bubbles

Allow the adhesive to level and carry out the debubbling stage to reduce trapped air before curing.

UV curing stage for LOCA optical bonding

04 / UV CURING

Cure the adhesive.
Secure the bond.

UV exposure cures the liquid adhesive into a transparent bonding layer. Curing conditions are matched to the adhesive and product structure.
